Fashion Cleaners Donates Clothes For Women In Need This Holiday Season
Fashion Cleaners is currently collecting new or gently used clothing in support of the YWCA Omaha's
Career Clothing Closet is stocked with like-new business attire and is open to any woman in need of career
clothing. These clothes are free to clients and can be used for interviews, daily work attire or court
visits. To date, over 130 items have been donated on behalf of the program.
“It’s a great program and I’m really excited about what it will do for women in need,” says Kermit Engh.
“We are pleased to make contributions not just during the holidays, but year-round.”
So, what types of clothing items are appropriate for women searching for a job? Tiba Brown, YWCA career
facilitator, recommends people contribute the following items:
- Business attire
- Blazers
- Dress shoes
- Undergarments
- Socks
- Hosery
- Dress slacks
- Button down shirts
- Sweaters
“We’ll clean all the items, free of charge, and take them to the YWCA Career Closet,” says Engh.
